Privacy Policy

Vinovella is made by Mindful Apps Studio (Tomasz Mikołajewicz, Spain). This page explains in plain words what the app collects, why, and what we never do. If anything is unclear, write to support@vinovella.site.

The short version

• No account, no sign-up, no name or email needed.
• Your label photos are used to read the label and are not stored on our server.
• Your wines, photos and stories stay on your phone.
• No ads, no tracking across apps, no analytics, and we never sell your data.

Your anonymous app ID

When you first open Vinovella, the app creates a random ID and keeps it in your phone's secure storage. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID. We use it to keep your sips balance and to know which stories you have already unlocked.

When you scan a label

The photo of the label is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and passed to Anthropic (the maker of Claude), which reads the label and writes the description or story. We do not store the photo. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models.

When you listen to a story

The text of the story is sent to ElevenLabs to turn it into audio. The audio is saved on your phone so you can replay it without using the internet again.

What we keep on our server

Our server runs on Cloudflare. For each anonymous ID it keeps:

• your sips balance and which stories you unlocked,
• a usage record for each scan, story or narration: the time, the type, the language, the wine and producer the AI recognised, and what it cost us,
• your purchases (which pack, when, and the store).

We use this to run the app, keep costs under control and fix problems. It contains no photos and nothing that identifies you personally.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and add sips to your balance. We never see your payment details.

On your phone

Your journal, label photos, stories and saved audio are stored only on your phone. If you use iCloud backup, they are included in your backup so they move to a new iPhone.

Your choices

• Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.
• To have the records on our server deleted, write to support@vinovella.site. Because there is no account, we may ask for a detail like the date of a purchase to find your records.
• If you are in the EU, you have the right to access, correct and delete your data under the GDPR.

Age

Vinovella is about wine and is meant only for adults of legal drinking age.

Changes

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
